HOLLY BROWN, PHDLicensed Psychologist
Director of LGBTQ+ Services PsyPact Provider Holly (she/her) completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky. During her predoctoral internship with the Lexington VA Health Care System, she served veterans recovering from trauma, addiction, difficulties in marital/romantic relationships, and other life stressors. Her practicum experiences included work at an LGBTQ-focused healthcare clinic, university counseling centers, a nonprofit that supports survivors of interpersonal violence, and a private practice focused on psychological assessment.
Holly enjoys work with adults of all ages who are navigating life transitions, seeking to improve their relationships with others, working to better manage anxiety and depression, or looking for other ways to move toward a more meaningful and enjoyable life. She is especially passionate about working with other members of the LGBTQ+ community and anyone interested in processing how their personal identities impact their relationships, experiences, and well-being. She is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Her therapy style is collaborative, with a focus on assisting clients to better understand their relationships with others and helping clients build tools to more effectively handle whatever life throws their way. When she’s not at Compass, Holly likes to recharge by spending time with her partner and cat, taking walks, reading, baking, knitting, and catching up on shows. |
