Clinton Nowicke (“Dr. Clint”; he/him) is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in gender-affirming care and trauma work with LGBTQ+ as well as Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing clients.  Dr. Clint is licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana, and is a member of PSYPACT, which allows him to virtually see individuals in over 30 states (click here to see if your state is part of PSYPACT).  He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University’s APA-accredited Psy.D. program, and completed an APA-accredited internship with the Appalachian Psychology Internship in Gallipolis, Ohio.  Dr. Clint is able to do therapy in American Sign Language as well as spoken English.

For individuals seeking evaluations and letters for gender-affirming medical care, the typical timeframe for letter completion is one to two weeks.  A release of information to an identified surgeon/prescriber is required as part of the process, and individuals will be able to read the letter before it is sent to ensure all of the information is accurate.

Dr. Clint has experience working with a wide range of age-groups, including children as young as five through adulthood.  He is completing the certification process for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is fully certified in the Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma (ITCT).  He is also a Level I Certified Telehealth Professional and a National Register of Health Service Psychologist.  For professionals, Dr. Clint is available for consultation, case supervision, and letter-review for those working with LGBTQ+ clients.

Dr. Clint won the 2020 Jenco Award for his YouTube mini-series, Mindful Mondays with Mr. Clint, as well as his assistance with creating an accessible ASL-version of Dr. Chandra Ghosh Ippen’s book Once I was Very, Very Scared.  He currently serves as the Diversity representative for the Kentucky Psychological Association.
