CARLY WOOD, PSYDLicensed Psychologist
DBT Program Director Carly Wood, PsyD (she/her) earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Jackson Health System in Miami, FL where she worked with children and teens struggling with personality disorders, trauma, anxiety, and depression within the Dialectical Behavior Therapy-Adolescent clinic and child psychiatric inpatient hospital.
Dr. Wood is currently the Director of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy program at Compass, which provides comprehensive DBT services to clients, including individual therapy, group therapy, parenting groups, and skills-based phone coaching. Dr. Wood has a special interest in working with teens and young adults experiencing interpersonal difficulties, emotion dysregulation, or who have experienced chronic trauma or abuse. In addition to her work at Compass Counseling, Dr. Wood is a clinical supervisor and adjunct professor of psychology at Spalding University, as well as an adjunct professor of psychology at Bellarmine University. Outside of work, Dr. Wood enjoys spending quality time with her dogs, Scout and Archie, and exploring the Louisville food scene with friends. |
