AMY B. GREENAMYER, PHD

PsyPact Provider Amy B. Greenamyer, PhD, HSP (she/her) completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Louisville in 2003. Her career background is diverse, beginning with ABA therapy for children with autism while she was in graduate school. Her internship was completed at the Lexington V.A. Hospital, where she developed a love of working with veterans and trauma. She has also worked with individuals experiencing severe mental illness within a hospital setting. She has extensive experience with psychological and psychoeducational assessment, as well as individual therapy.
Currently, Dr. Greenamyer’s areas of clinical focus center on individual therapy and assessment with a special concentration on women’s issues, pregnancy-related adjustment, anxiety, depression, trauma, and phase-of-life transitions. She collaborates with many fertility clinics around the country, performing evaluations for people involved with third-party reproduction including embryo adoption, egg & sperm donation, and/or gestational surrogacy. She was the first doctoral-level psychologist in Kentucky to join The American Academy for Reproductive Medicine. In addition to her independent clinical work, Dr. Greenamyer proudly owns Compass Counseling & Psychology Services, one of the most respected group practices in the area. She enjoys supervising doctoral students and Post Doctoral Fellows. As a practice owner, she believes one of her roles is to help develop the next generation of clinicians. Dr. Greenamyer and her husband are the proud parents of two teenagers and two dogs. She enjoys fundraising for local non-profits and for her children’s schools. She loves basking in the sunshine at any beach, playing board games, building Legos, watching documentaries, Star Wars & Marvel movies, reading, and laughing. |
