EMAIL DR. GREENAMYER

AMY B. GREENAMYER, PHD

Licensed Psychologist
PsyPact Provider

Amy B. Greenamyer, PhD, HSP (she/her) earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Louisville in 2003. Her career began in applied behavior analysis (ABA), working with children on the autism spectrum while in graduate school. She completed her doctoral internship at the Lexington VA Medical Center, where she developed a deep appreciation for working with veterans and trauma-related concerns. Since then, Dr. Greenamyer has built extensive experience in psychological assessment and individual therapy across private practice, hospital, and school settings.

Dr. Greenamyer’s current clinical focus includes individual therapy and psychological assessment, with specialized expertise in reproductive psychology, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She partners with fertility clinics nationwide to conduct evaluations for individuals and couples involved in third-party reproduction, including embryo adoption, egg and sperm donation, and gestational surrogacy. Notably, she was the first doctoral-level psychologist in Kentucky to join the American Academy of Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Greenamyer is the owner of Compass Counseling & Psychology Services, a group practice known for its compassionate clinicians and high-quality care. She loves mentoring and supervising doctoral students, master’s-level clinicians, and postdoctoral fellows, and believes that supporting the next generation of therapists is one of the most meaningful parts of her work. She is an active member of the Kentucky Psychological Association, where she will serve on their board as the Clinical Interest Section Representative for the 2026–2027 term.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Greenamyer and her husband are the proud parents of two young adults and two dogs. She enjoys board games, building LEGO sets, watching documentaries and game shows, and reading non-fiction. She’s happiest with sunshine on her face, sand between her toes, a Star Wars movie queued up, and plenty of laughter to go around.
